The MARSHALLTOWN 15524 is a dual-end brick jointer used to finish and smooth mortar joints in masonry work. One end profiles a 3/4-inch joint and the other end profiles a 7/8-inch joint, giving masons two sizing options in a single tool. The tool is forged from high carbon steel and polished to produce a slick, clean joint profile with consistent results. It is a hand tool intended for use by masons, bricklayers, and masonry contractors on both residential and commercial projects. The polished steel surface reduces drag through mortar and helps produce a uniform concave joint.
The 15524 is used during the finishing stage of brick or block masonry, after mortar has been applied and has begun to set to the proper consistency. It is suited for standard brick coursing work where 3/4-inch or 7/8-inch joint widths are specified. The dual-end design reduces the need to carry multiple jointers when working with varying joint sizes on the same job. It is a commonly specified tool for exterior brick veneer, retaining walls, and structural masonry applications.
Designed for use on standard brick and block masonry joints requiring a 3/4-inch or 7/8-inch concave joint profile.
This tool is used by masons and bricklayers as part of standard mortar joint finishing. Apply the jointer to mortar joints after the mortar has thumbprint-stiff consistency to achieve a clean profile without tearing. Clean the tool after each use to prevent mortar buildup that can affect joint quality. No power tools or special equipment are required.
