The MARSHALLTOWN 15522 is a dual-end brick jointer made from high carbon steel for long-lasting performance in masonry work. One end produces a 1/2 inch concave joint profile; the other end produces a 5/8 inch concave joint profile, giving masons two commonly used joint sizes in a single tool. The jointer compacts mortar into the joint as it strikes, forcing out air pockets and reducing moisture infiltration. It is used by licensed masons, tile setters, and experienced masonry contractors on both new construction and repair work.
This brick jointer is suited for residential and light commercial masonry applications where consistent concave joint profiles are required. It works on standard brick, block, and concrete masonry unit (CMU) construction. The dual-end design reduces the need to carry separate tools on the job when both the 1/2 inch and 5/8 inch joint sizes are called for on the same project. Typical use cases include new brick veneer installation, chimney repair, and retaining wall pointing work.
Designed as a general-purpose masonry jointing tool for use with standard brick, block, and CMU mortar joints requiring 1/2 inch or 5/8 inch concave profiles.
This tool is used by masons during the finishing stage of mortar joint tooling, after the mortar has begun to set but before it fully cures. Strike the jointer along the horizontal bed joints first, then the vertical head joints, following standard masonry practice. No power tools or fasteners are required. Keep the tool clean of hardened mortar between uses to maintain a consistent joint profile.
