The MARS mars-84118 is a 1/2-inch liquid-tight non-metallic conduit fitting designed for use in wet or damp electrical installations where moisture ingress must be prevented at conduit connection points. This type of fitting creates a watertight seal between flexible non-metallic conduit and an electrical enclosure, junction box, or equipment knockout. It is commonly installed by licensed electricians and HVAC service technicians working on condensate pump wiring, outdoor unit connections, and other low-voltage or line-voltage circuits requiring liquid-tight protection.
This fitting is suited for residential and light commercial applications where flexible liquid-tight non-metallic conduit is routed to motors, contactors, disconnect boxes, or other electrical enclosures exposed to moisture, oils, or outdoor conditions. It is a standard trade fitting used wherever NEC requirements call for liquid-tight wiring methods in wet locations or where conduit may be subject to physical movement or vibration.
Designed as a standard OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting compatible with 1/2-inch liquid-tight non-metallic flexible conduit systems used in residential and commercial electrical applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician or qualified HVAC technician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements for liquid-tight wiring methods. De-energize all circuits before making conduit connections at any enclosure or equipment knockout. Ensure the conduit is fully seated and the fitting is tightened to the manufacturer's hand-tight-plus standard to maintain the liquid-tight seal without cracking the non-metallic body.
