The MARS MARS-10861 is a variable speed direct drive blower motor designed as a high-efficiency replacement for standard PSC and Genteq X-13 motors. Known as the Azure Digi-Motor, it operates at 1075 RPM across a horsepower range of 1/2 to 1 HP and runs on 115/230V power. The motor features an auto-sizing learn mode that activates at startup, running for approximately 2 minutes to measure the external static pressure of the system. It then self-programs torque values to each of its four speed taps, selecting the correct horsepower for the application automatically. Ball bearings and an open air over enclosure support reliable performance in forced-air systems. Licensed HVAC technicians are the primary installers of this motor.
The MARS-10861 suits a wide range of residential and light commercial forced-air applications where a direct drive blower motor is required. Its reversible rotation makes it adaptable across multiple equipment orientations and configurations. When none of the four auto-programmed speed taps deliver the desired airflow, or when duplicate speeds are needed across two or more taps, an optional handheld programmer (MARS 08502) can be connected to the motor. The programmer displays the torque percentage applied to each tap and allows the installer to permanently adjust motor speed up or down, overriding the auto-sizing values for precise airflow tuning.
The MARS-10861 Azure Digi-Motor is designed as a direct replacement for standard PSC motors and Genteq X-13 motors in forced-air HVAC systems. It is suitable for a multitude of direct drive blower applications where 1075 RPM and 115/230V operation are required.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician. Disconnect and lock out all power to the air handler or furnace before removing the existing blower motor. Verify that the replacement motor's frame size, shaft diameter, and mounting configuration match the original equipment before final installation. Allow the auto-sizing learn mode to complete its full 2-minute startup cycle without interruption before evaluating airflow performance.
