The MARS mars-10857 is an ECM direct drive blower motor featuring variable speed and constant torque operation. Rated from 1/2 to 1 horsepower, this single-phase motor operates on 120/240 volts at 50/60 Hz and delivers five selectable speeds across a variable RPM range centered at 1075. The open air-over (OAO) enclosure suits indoor air handling applications where airflow passes over the motor. Bluetooth connectivity through the MARS AZURE ECM app allows field configuration and diagnostics without additional tools. Weighing 15.65 pounds and built to NEMA 48 frame dimensions, it is sized for standard residential and light commercial air handler and furnace blower assemblies. Installation is performed by licensed HVAC technicians.
The mars-10857 is designed for direct drive blower applications in forced-air systems including gas furnaces, air handlers, and fan coils where variable speed ECM performance or constant torque operation is required. The motor supports both forward and reverse shaft rotation, providing flexibility across a range of blower deck configurations. With a 55 degrees C ambient rating, it is suited for equipment rooms and mechanical closets where operating temperatures are elevated. No external run capacitor is required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for variable speed ECM and constant torque direct drive blower motors in residential and light commercial forced-air equipment using NEMA 48 frame belly band mount configurations.
Installation should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician in accordance with NEC requirements and the equipment manufacturer's wiring diagram. Disconnect and lock out all power to the air handler or furnace before removing the existing motor or making any wiring connections. The AZURE ECM app should be used to configure motor speed and torque settings prior to final commissioning. Verify shaft length and diameter compatibility with the existing blower wheel before mounting.
