The MARKAL 81026 is a hot surface paint stick marker rated for use on surfaces ranging from 2250 to 11000 degrees F (1070 to 5930 degrees C). It is a solid paint stick designed to leave a visible mark on extremely high-temperature materials including metal coils, billets, bars, castings, pigs, ingots, plates, rails, beams, and glass. The marker produces a green mark and is built to withstand the intense heat conditions found in foundries, mills, and industrial processing environments. Metalworkers, quality control personnel, and industrial maintenance technicians use this marker to identify and track materials through high-heat processing stages.
This marker is suited for identifying hot metal stock and industrial materials in applications where conventional markers would fail. Typical use cases include marking billets before rolling, identifying castings at the foundry floor, tracking plate and beam inventory through heat treatment, and marking glass during high-temperature manufacturing. The solid paint stick format allows direct application to hot surfaces without the need for additional tools or applicators, making it practical for fast-paced production environments.
Designed for direct application on hot industrial surfaces including coils, billets and bars, castings and pigs, ingots and plates, rails and beams, and glass in high-temperature manufacturing and processing environments.
This product is applied by hand directly to hot surfaces and requires no installation. Always use appropriate personal protective equipment, including heat-resistant gloves, when working near or handling hot materials. Follow your facility safety protocols and applicable OSHA guidelines for working in high-heat environments. Do not use on surfaces outside the rated temperature range, as marking performance will not be reliable below 2250 degrees F.
