The MARKAL 81023 is a hot surface paint stick marker rated for use on surfaces from 2250 to 11000 degrees F (1070 to 5930 degrees C). It lays down a solid black mark on extremely hot metal and other high-temperature materials without burning off prematurely. The paint stick format requires no applicator — technicians and fabricators press the marker directly onto the workpiece surface. It is a standard tool in foundry, metals processing, and industrial fabrication environments where ink-based markers would fail immediately at working temperatures.
This marker is intended for use on hot coils, billets, bars, castings, pigs, ingots, plates, rails, beams, and glass. It is suited for production floor identification, heat-lot tracking, and part marking in steel mills, foundries, and glass manufacturing. The black color provides high contrast on many heated metal surfaces. Each package contains one marker, making it easy to stock individually or by quantity for crew use.
Designed for direct marking on hot metal and glass surfaces including coils, billets and bars, castings and pigs, ingots and plates, and rails and beams in industrial and foundry environments.
This marker is used by foundry workers, metals fabricators, and industrial production personnel — not a licensed-trade installation product. Allow no direct skin contact with surfaces at operating temperatures. Follow your facility safety protocols for working near hot materials, including appropriate PPE such as heat-resistant gloves and face protection. Store markers away from open flame or extreme heat when not in use.
