The MAMAC SYSTEMS TE-703-C-5-A-3 is a 1000 ohm Balco RTD temperature sensor built for immersion measurement of water, fluid, and steam in industrial and commercial HVAC and process systems. The probe measures 4 inches in length and threads into a well or pipe via a 1/2 inch NPT connection. A 3-wire configuration minimizes lead-resistance error and supports accurate, stable readings across a wide operating range of -58 degrees F to 482 degrees F (-50 degrees C to 250 degrees C). The galvanized housing resists corrosion in wet service environments. Licensed HVAC and mechanical contractors are the primary installers for this type of sensor.
This sensor is suited for immersion temperature sensing in hydronic heating and cooling systems, boiler applications, chilled water loops, steam lines, and general process piping where reliable fluid or steam temperature measurement is required. The 1/2 inch NPT thread allows direct installation into a standard thermowell or pipe tapping. The 1000 ohm Balco element is compatible with building automation system controllers and DDC input cards that accept Balco 1000 ohm RTD inputs. Both light commercial and industrial installations fall within its typical application range.

Installation is typically performed by a licensed HVAC or mechanical contractor. Isolate and depressurize the pipe or system section before installing or removing the sensor. Thread the 1/2 inch NPT fitting into the thermowell or pipe tapping using appropriate thread sealant rated for the fluid and temperature service. Verify controller input type matches the 1000 ohm Balco RTD signal before wiring.
