The MAGAFOR 88861000220 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in tight-tolerance applications. Built to Series 8610 specifications, it features a No. 90 wire gauge diameter of 0.0087 inches with a diameter tolerance of 0.0002 inches, making it suited for micro-bore finishing where dimensional accuracy is critical. The four-flute, left-hand spiral geometry promotes smooth chip evacuation while cutting in a right-hand direction. The bright, uncoated carbide construction provides rigidity in hard and abrasive materials. Machinists and toolroom professionals install this reamer in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual mills using standard chuck or collet toolholding systems.
This reamer is intended for precision finishing of small-diameter bores in metalworking and machining environments. Its straight-cylindrical shank fits standard collet chucks and keyless drill chucks commonly found in production and toolroom setups. The 0.0360-inch flute length and 1.5350-inch overall length make it appropriate for shallow, high-precision reaming passes in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It is not configured for coolant-through delivery and is not designed as an over/under size or dowel pin reamer.
Designed as an OEM-style precision chucking reamer for use in standard straight-shank collet chucks and keyless drill chucks on CNC and manual machine tools accepting a straight-cylindrical shank at this diameter range.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard toolroom practices. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before loading or unloading the reamer in the toolholder. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank firmly in a properly sized collet or chuck to prevent runout, which would degrade bore tolerance. Do not exceed the recommended feed and speed parameters for solid carbide tooling in the workpiece material being machined.
