The MAGAFOR 88860008330 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in metalworking and machining applications. With a reamer diameter of 0.328 inches (8.33 mm) and a tight diameter tolerance of 0.0000 to +0.0005 mm, this tool delivers consistently accurate bore sizing in a single pass. The 6-flute spiral configuration with a left-hand spiral direction and right-hand cutting action provides smooth chip evacuation and a superior surface finish. The bright polished coating reduces friction and helps extend tool life. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals install this reamer in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual mills using standard collet or drill chucks.
This chucking reamer is suited for precision reaming operations in ferrous and non-ferrous metals where hole tolerances and surface finish are critical. The straight shank allows direct clamping in collet chucks, drill chucks, or floating reamer holders. With an overall length of 4-5/8 inches and a flute length of 1-19/64 inches, it handles typical through-hole and blind-hole applications in production and job-shop environments. It is not configured as a dowel pin reamer or an over/under size reamer, making it a standard on-size finish tool.
Designed as an on-size chucking reamer for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual milling machines equipped with standard straight-shank toolholders or collet systems accepting a 0.328 inch shank diameter.
Installation and use should be performed by a qualified machinist. Secure the straight shank firmly in a properly sized collet or drill chuck before operation, and verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting to maintain tolerance. Always reduce spindle speed relative to drilling and apply appropriate cutting fluid for the workpiece material when reaming. Do not use this tool for rough stock removal - it is a finish reamer and requires a pre-drilled or bored hole sized appropriately to leave minimal stock for reaming.
