The MAGAFOR 88860003620 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in tight-tolerance applications. Part of the Series 8600 line, it cuts a nominal diameter of 0.1425 inches with a diameter tolerance of 0.0002 inches, making it suitable for work where bore accuracy is critical. The straight-cylindrical shank seats securely in standard drill chucks or collet holders. With a 6-flute, left-hand spiral geometry and right-hand cutting direction, it delivers smooth chip evacuation and a clean, consistent finish. Machinists, toolroom technicians, and precision fabricators install this reamer on CNC machining centers and manual drill presses alike.
This reamer is used in precision machining operations where final hole size and surface finish must meet close tolerances. The 0.1425-inch diameter targets small-bore applications common in aerospace components, hydraulic fittings, dowel-pin bores, and instrument housings. The bright, uncoated carbide finish is well suited to non-ferrous metals, cast iron, and hardened materials where edge sharpness and dimensional repeatability are priorities. At 2.25 inches overall length with a 0.5900-inch flute length, it fits compact workpiece setups without excessive tool overhang.
Designed as an OEM-style precision reamer for use in CNC machining centers, manual drill presses, and toolroom equipment that accept straight-cylindrical shank tooling in the appropriate diameter range.
Installation and operation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with precision reaming procedures. Ensure the spindle and workpiece are fully secured and that the correct RPM and feed rate for carbide tooling and the workpiece material are established before cutting. Do not use this reamer as a drill; always pre-drill or bore to near-final size before reaming. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or wear before each use, as carbide is brittle and sensitive to improper handling.
