The MAGAFOR 88860003160 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in metalworking and machining operations. It carries a reamer diameter of 0.1244 inches (3.16 mm) with a tight tolerance of 0.0000 to +0.0004 mm, making it suitable for applications that demand close-tolerance bore sizing. The overall length is 2.25 inches, with a flute length of 0.59375 inches (19/32 inches). Six spiral flutes with a left-hand spiral direction and right-hand cutting action help evacuate chips efficiently while producing a smooth, accurate finish. The bright (polished) coating reduces friction and aids chip flow. This reamer is intended for use by machinists and toolroom professionals.
This chucking reamer is suited for finishing pre-drilled or bored holes in ferrous and non-ferrous metals where precise hole diameter and surface finish are required. The straight shank allows it to be held in standard drill chucks, collet chucks, or floating reamer holders on CNC machining centers, knee mills, and drill presses. Its compact overall length and small diameter make it well suited for fine-pitch hole finishing in fixture plates, precision components, and hydraulic or pneumatic manifold blocks where bore geometry tolerance is critical.
Designed as an OEM-style chucking reamer for use in standard straight-shank drill chucks and collet chuck systems on CNC machining centers, manual knee mills, and drill presses capable of accepting the 0.1244-inch diameter straight shank.
Chucking reamers are installed and operated by qualified machinists following standard shop practices. Secure the straight shank firmly in a collet chuck or drill chuck and verify runout before cutting. Power down the machine spindle completely before changing or adjusting tooling. Use recommended cutting fluid for the workpiece material to maximize tool life and bore finish quality; never run a carbide reamer dry in steel without lubrication.
