The MAGAFOR 81154020000 is a No. 2 combination drill and countersink machined from high-speed steel with a bright, uncoated finish. It produces a centered pilot hole and a countersunk seat in a single operation, reducing tool changes on the spindle. The body diameter is 3/16 inches, the drill point diameter is 5/64 inches, the drill point length is 5/64 inches, and the overall length is 1-7/8 inches. The 82-degree included angle conforms to standard countersink geometry used in general metalworking and fabrication. Right-hand cutting direction and a plain cutting edge style make it compatible with conventional drill press and lathe setups. This tool is installed and operated by machinists, toolroom technicians, and skilled fabricators working in metal removal applications.
The 81154020000 is suited for countersinking and center-drilling operations on steel, aluminum, and similar machinable metals in job shop, manufacturing, and maintenance environments. The double-end configuration extends tool life by providing two usable cutting ends before the tool is retired. Series 154 identifies the product family within the MAGAFOR catalog, allowing straightforward reordering when replacements are needed. Typical use cases include preparing workpieces for lathe turning centers, creating countersunk clearance holes for flat-head fasteners, and spotting hole locations before full-diameter drilling.
Designed as a standard Series 154 combination drill and countersink for use in conventional drill presses, lathes, and milling machines where a 3/16-inch body diameter tool is appropriate.
Installation and operation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician familiar with rotating cutting tools. Secure the tool firmly in the chuck or collet and confirm there is no runout before engaging the workpiece. Power down and de-energize the machine before changing or inspecting the tool. Follow applicable shop safety standards and machine manufacturer guidelines for speed and feed selection based on workpiece material.
