The MAG-MATE WS410 is a rare-earth magnetic welding and fabrication square designed to hold metal workpieces at precise angles during tack welding, fitting, and assembly operations. Built around a high-strength rare-earth magnet, it delivers 75 pounds of average pull force in a compact body measuring 3.75 inches wide, 0.75 inches deep, and 4.375 inches high. The WS410 is intended for use by welders, fabricators, pipefitters, and ironworkers who need reliable, hands-free workholding on ferrous materials. Its multi-angle capability eliminates the need for multiple dedicated fixtures on the same job.
The WS410 suits light structural fabrication, sheet metal work, and pipe fitting in both shop and field environments. It is well suited to residential metal fabrication shops, commercial welding operations, and maintenance facilities where consistent angle control is required during fitup. The holding angles supported are 30, 45, 60, 75, 90, and 180 degrees, making it a versatile single-tool solution for common joint configurations. It weighs approximately 1 pound, keeping it easy to transport and position on the workpiece.
Designed for use with ferrous metal workpieces in welding, fabrication, and fitting applications requiring precise angular alignment.
Place the WS410 against clean, flat ferrous surfaces for best holding performance - scale, heavy rust, or paint can reduce effective pull force. Remove the magnet from the workpiece before striking an arc directly on or immediately adjacent to the tool. Keep the magnet clear of electronic devices, sensitive instruments, and pacemakers. No tools are required for placement or removal under normal use.
