The MAG-MATE 316M is a rectangular glass inspection mirror designed for visual access in tight, hard-to-see spaces. The mirror head measures 2.25 inches wide by 2.5 inches long and sits on a bendable, telescoping handle that collapses to 7.25 inches for compact storage. The telescoping extension lets technicians reach into confined areas without repositioning themselves. A magnifying feature aids in spotting fine details such as cracks, threads, corrosion, or hidden fasteners. At 0.25 pounds, it is light enough to carry in a tool pouch. HVAC technicians, plumbers, electricians, and mechanical contractors routinely rely on inspection mirrors for behind-panel and under-equipment checks.
The 316M suits any trade application where direct line-of-sight is blocked. Common uses include inspecting heat exchanger surfaces, checking behind electrical panels, verifying pipe connections in wall cavities, and examining hard-to-reach mechanical assemblies. The bendable handle allows the mirror head to be angled as needed without a separate pivot tool. The glass mirror surface provides a clear, undistorted reflection compared to plastic alternatives. This mirror is suitable for both residential service calls and light commercial maintenance work.
Designed as a general-purpose inspection mirror for use across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical service applications. No specific equipment compatibility requirements apply.
No installation is required for this hand tool. Before use in an energized electrical panel or near live components, follow applicable NFPA 70E arc-flash and lockout/tagout procedures. When inspecting gas appliance heat exchangers or flue passages, ensure the unit is shut down and cooled before inserting any tool. Store the mirror with the handle collapsed to prevent accidental bending of the handle or damage to the glass surface.
