The MADISON MSB5600 is a submersible liquid level switch designed for demanding fluid monitoring applications involving high temperature, high pressure, or corrosive conditions. With a maximum operating pressure of 85 psi and a maximum temperature rating of 110 degrees F, this switch delivers reliable level detection in environments where standard float switches fall short. The stainless steel body provides corrosion resistance for use in aggressive media. A float specific gravity of 0.55 supports accurate switching across a range of liquid densities. This switch is typically installed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or industrial service professionals handling fluid control systems.
The MSB5600 is suited for residential and light commercial liquid level monitoring applications where the process fluid may be at elevated temperature, under elevated pressure, or chemically aggressive. Its submersible design allows direct immersion in the monitored fluid. The 1/2 inch threaded connection provides a standard mounting interface for installation into tanks, reservoirs, sumps, or process vessels. Typical use cases include sump control, chemical tank monitoring, boiler feed systems, and HVAC condensate or fluid management setups.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-install submersible liquid level switch for tanks, reservoirs, and vessels requiring high-pressure or corrosion-resistant float switching via a standard 1/2 inch threaded port.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified service technician familiar with pressurized fluid systems and applicable plumbing codes such as the IPC. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before removing any existing switch or fitting. Verify the thread sealant or gasket used is compatible with the process fluid before making up the threaded connection. Confirm supply voltage and load wattage do not exceed the switch rating before energizing the circuit.
