The M.K. MORSE 177603 is a bi-metal hole saw with a 3.75-inch (95 mm) diameter cutting edge, designed for drilling clean, accurate holes in a wide range of materials. Built from M42 high-speed steel bi-metal construction, it delivers the toughness needed for demanding trade applications. The toothed edge runs at 18 teeth per inch with a variable pitch pattern, reducing vibration and improving cut quality across different material thicknesses. With a cutting depth of 1.9375 inches, it handles typical wall, panel, and structural penetrations encountered in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general construction work. The saw ships without an arbor, so the correct arbor must be sourced separately.
This hole saw is suited for both residential and light commercial applications where tradespeople need to cut through machinable metal, nail-embedded wood, clean wood, plastic, aluminum, and stainless steel. It is a practical choice for electricians running conduit penetrations, plumbers cutting through framing or panels, and HVAC installers fitting duct collars or equipment knockouts. The variable pitch tooth pattern helps prevent binding and tooth stripping when transitioning between softer and harder materials in the same cut.
Compatible with arbor numbers 41295015 and 41295031. Designed as a replacement-style hole saw for use in standard hole saw mandrel systems accepting a 3.75-inch bi-metal saw body.
Installation is performed by electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, and general contractors using a standard drill or hole saw driver. Ensure the correct arbor is installed and secured before use, and confirm the workpiece is clamped or otherwise stabilized to prevent movement during cutting. De-energize electrical systems and shut off water or gas supply lines before drilling near utilities. Always wear appropriate eye and hand protection when operating hole saws on metal substrates.
