The M.K. MORSE 164410100C-MSC is a carbon steel band saw blade coil stock designed for metal-cutting and general fabrication applications. It comes in a 100-foot coil measuring 3/4 inches wide and 0.032 inches thick, with a constant 10 teeth-per-inch (TPI) pitch and a raker tooth set. The flexible back construction allows the blade to be cut to length on-site and installed in a wide range of band saw equipment. This coil format is the standard choice for shops and service professionals who want to weld custom-length blades rather than stock pre-welded loops.
This coil stock suits metal fabrication shops, maintenance facilities, and trade contractors running vertical or horizontal band saws. The 10 TPI constant pitch is well suited to cutting solid stock, structural shapes, and tubing in mild steel, aluminum, and similar materials. The raker tooth set provides efficient chip clearance during straight cuts. Because it ships as raw coil, the installer cuts and welds blades to the exact length required for each saw, reducing waste and inventory overhead.
Designed as a coil-stock replacement blade for vertical and horizontal band saws that accept a 3/4-inch-wide blade with standard blade guide spacing. Specific saw compatibility depends on the throat width and wheel diameter of the host machine; confirm blade length requirements before welding.
Cutting and welding band saw coil stock requires a blade welder and grinder; this work is typically performed by maintenance technicians or experienced shop personnel familiar with butt-weld blade preparation. Disconnect and lock out the band saw from its power source before removing the old blade or installing the new one. Ensure blade guides, tension, and tracking are set according to the saw manufacturer's specifications after installation. Wear cut-resistant gloves when handling uncoiled blade stock.
