The M.A. FORD. 92087503 is a single-end, three-flute countersink designed for chamfering, countersinking, and deburring operations in a wide range of materials. Built from high-speed steel (HSS) with a bright/uncoated finish, it features a 90-degree included angle and a 45-degree centerline angle. The 7/8-inch head diameter and 1/2-inch straight-cylindrical shank pair with a 3-inch overall length, making this tool compatible with standard drill presses, milling machines, and handheld power tools. It ships without a pilot. Machinists, tool-and-die workers, and general metalworking trades rely on this countersink for clean, consistent seat angles on fastener holes.
This countersink is suited for light to medium machining environments, including job shops, maintenance facilities, and production floors. It is engineered for use on aluminum, brass, magnesium, magnesium alloy, high-nickel steel, Monel, and plastic workpieces. The right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional machine spindle rotation. The bright/uncoated finish makes it a cost-effective choice when cutting softer, non-ferrous materials where a specialized coating provides limited additional benefit.
Designed for chamfering and countersinking operations on aluminum, brass, high-nickel steel, magnesium, magnesium alloy, Monel, and plastic. Fits any spindle or chuck accepting a 1/2-inch straight-cylindrical shank.
Installation is performed by machinists or tooling technicians. Secure the 1/2-inch shank firmly in the chuck or collet before operation and verify runout before cutting. Always power down the machine and lock out the spindle before changing or inspecting the tool. Feed rate and spindle speed should be set according to the workpiece material and machine manufacturer guidelines — consult published speeds-and-feeds charts for HSS tooling on the specific material being machined.
