The M.A. FORD 79800003 is an 8-piece high speed steel countersink set covering head diameters from 1/8 inch to 1 inch. All eight countersinks feature a 90-degree included angle, a 45-degree centerline angle, and a 6-flute geometry that produces a clean, smooth conical seat in a wide range of workpiece materials. The straight shank design is compatible with standard drill chucks and machine spindles. Each tool carries a bright polished finish, which reduces built-up edge and aids chip evacuation. The set stores in a dedicated plastic case that organizes all eight pieces and protects cutting edges between uses. Machinists, tool and die workers, and general metalworking tradespeople are the primary installers.
This countersink set is suited to production and maintenance applications where multiple countersink sizes are needed at a single workstation. The 90-degree angle is the most common specification for flat-head fastener seating in metal fabrication, sheet metal work, and general machining. Right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional drill press and CNC spindle rotation. Because the set spans 1/8 inch through 1 inch head diameter, it covers the fastener range most frequently encountered in light to medium structural and mechanical assembly work. No pilot is included, so the tools are used in a pre-drilled or pre-punched hole.

Countersinks should be installed and removed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Secure the straight shank firmly in the drill chuck or collet before operation and verify spindle speed is appropriate for the workpiece material and tool diameter. Always power down and de-energize the machine before changing tooling. Do not exceed the recommended RPM range for high speed steel tooling in hard materials, and use cutting fluid as appropriate to extend tool life.
