The M.A. FORD. 64100006 is a 4-piece single-flute countersink set designed for producing clean, accurate countersunk holes across a wide range of materials. Built from high speed steel with a bright polished finish, the set covers head diameters from 1/4 inch to 1 inch, all at a fixed 120-degree included angle (60-degree centerline angle). Straight shanks allow use in standard drill chucks or drill presses without special tooling. This set is appropriate for production shops, maintenance technicians, and fabricators who need consistent countersink geometry across multiple sizes without tool changes between setups.
This countersink set is suited for right-hand cutting in a broad range of materials including mild steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high tensile steel, high nickel steel, Monel, aluminum, aluminum alloy, magnesium, magnesium alloy, brass, and plastics. The single-end, single-flute design is a standard choice for general countersinking operations in both light production and job-shop environments. The set stores in an included plastic case, keeping all four sizes organized and protected between uses.
Designed for general countersinking operations in materials including alloy steel, aluminum, aluminum alloy, brass, cast iron, high nickel steel, high tensile steel, magnesium, magnesium alloy, mild steel, Monel, plastics, and stainless steel. Straight shank is compatible with standard drill chucks across common drill press and hand drill configurations.
Countersinks should be installed in a drill press, hand drill, or milling machine with the workpiece securely clamped before operation. Secure the straight shank firmly in the chuck before use and verify there is no runout that could cause chatter or an oversized countersink. Cutting speed should be appropriate for the workpiece material and countersink diameter — reduce speed when working harder materials such as stainless or high nickel steel. Inspect cutting edges before each use and discontinue use if chipping or wear is observed.
