The M.A. FORD. 61075001 is a single-flute, high-speed steel countersink designed for chamfering, countersinking, and deburring operations in metal and non-metal materials. It features a 60-degree included angle with a 0.75-inch head diameter and a 0.5-inch straight-cylindrical shank. The 2.75-inch overall length makes it suitable for use in standard drill presses, CNC machining centers, and hand-held pneumatic tools. Right-hand cutting direction and a bright, uncoated finish are standard. This tool is used primarily by machinists and fabricators working in production or job-shop environments.
This countersink is appropriate for use on a broad range of materials including mild steel, alloy steel, high-tensile steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-nickel steel, Monel, aluminum, brass, magnesium, magnesium alloy, and plastic. It is well suited for aerospace, general fabrication, and maintenance applications where controlled chamfer geometry and clean deburring are required. The single-flute design reduces chatter on difficult materials and provides good chip clearance in confined bore entries.
Designed for use in drill presses, CNC machining centers, and hand-held rotary tools accepting a 0.5-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Compatible with material applications including alloy steel, aluminum, brass, cast iron, high-nickel steel, high-tensile steel, magnesium, magnesium alloy, mild steel, Monel, plastic, and stainless steel.
Installation and use should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with cutting tool setup and safe machine operation. Secure the shank fully in the collet or chuck before operation and verify the workpiece is clamped. Set spindle speed according to the material being cut and the tool diameter — consult published HSS cutting speed tables for the specific material. Inspect the cutting edge before each use and replace if chipping or wear is evident.
