The M.A. FORD 60018702 is a single-flute solid carbide countersink designed for precise, clean-entry countersinking across a broad range of materials. Built with an 82-degree included angle, it conforms to standard flat-head fastener geometry used throughout machining and fabrication work. The 3/16-inch straight-cylindrical shank fits standard drill chucks and collet holders. At 1.5 inches overall length and a tip diameter of 0.045 inches, this tool is suited for tight-clearance work and small-diameter countersink applications. Machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and metal fabricators rely on this geometry for consistent seat prep without the chatter common to multi-flute designs in interrupted cuts.

This tool is installed and operated by machinists and metal fabricators using standard drill press, CNC, or hand-held rotary equipment. Secure the shank fully in the collet or chuck before operation and confirm the workpiece is properly fixtured. Right-hand cutting direction requires forward spindle rotation. Inspect the cutting edge before each use and do not exceed recommended feed and speed parameters for the workpiece material.
