The M.A. FORD. 60012507 is a single-flute solid carbide countersink designed for chamfering, countersinking, and deburring operations across a wide range of materials. Built with a 45-degree included angle and a straight-cylindrical shank, this tool delivers clean, precise entry cuts in both ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. The solid carbide construction provides hardness and wear resistance well beyond high-speed steel alternatives, making it suitable for demanding production and toolroom environments. At 1.5 inches overall length with a 1/8-inch shank diameter, it fits standard collet and chuck setups found on drill presses, CNC machines, and hand-held power tools.
This countersink is suited for use on alloy steel, mild steel, stainless steel, cast iron, high-tensile steel, high-nickel steel, Monel, aluminum, brass, magnesium, magnesium alloy, and plastic. The minimum cutting diameter is 1/32 inch and the maximum cutting diameter is 7/64 inch, making it appropriate for small-diameter fastener prep work in precision machining, aerospace, and general metalworking applications. Right-hand cutting geometry matches conventional spindle rotation on standard machine tools.

This tool is installed and operated by machinists, toolroom technicians, and CNC operators. Secure the shank fully in the collet or chuck before operation and verify spindle rotation is set to right-hand before engaging the cut. Always bring the spindle to a complete stop before measuring, adjusting, or removing the tool. Follow applicable shop safety procedures and machine manufacturer guidelines for speed and feed selection when working with carbide tooling.
