The M.A. FORD. 60012501 is a single-flute solid carbide countersink designed for precision deburring and countersinking operations in demanding machine shop and production environments. It features a 60-degree included angle, a 1/8-inch shank diameter, and a 1-1/2-inch overall length. The bright uncoated finish is suitable for use across a wide range of materials without added coating thickness. Machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and CNC operators install this tool in manual or CNC setups where consistent countersink geometry is required in tight-tolerance applications.
This countersink is suited for both manual and machine-driven countersinking in metalworking, fabrication, and light production settings. Its single-flute geometry reduces chatter and promotes clean entry in materials including alloy steel, aluminum, brass, cast iron, stainless steel, high-nickel steel, high-tensile steel, mild steel, Monel, magnesium, magnesium alloy, plastic, and more. The straight cylindrical shank allows direct installation into standard collets and drill chucks. It is appropriate for both benchtop drill press work and CNC machining centers where a 1/8-inch shank is compatible.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use countersink for machine setups accepting a 1/8-inch straight cylindrical shank, compatible with alloy steel, aluminum, brass, cast iron, high-nickel steel, high-tensile steel, magnesium, magnesium alloy, mild steel, Monel, plastic, and stainless steel workpiece materials.
This tool is installed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Before installation, ensure the spindle or chuck is fully de-energized and brought to a complete stop. Secure the shank firmly in a collet or drill chuck rated for the intended RPM and cutting forces. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material being machined.
