Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians familiar with micro-diameter tooling. Verify that the spindle, collet, and chuck are clean and free of runout before seating the shank, as even minor runout will cause breakage at this diameter. Power down and de-energize the machine before changing tooling. Do not exceed the machine spindle speed and feed rate recommendations for the specific workpiece material and drill diameter.
