The M.A. FORD. 30014060 is a solid carbide circuit board drill bit designed for precision drilling in electronics assembly, PCB fabrication, and light machining applications. Built to Series 300 standards, this bit features a 118-degree drill point angle and a fast spiral geometry with a 35-degree helix angle that promotes efficient chip evacuation. The tapered web configuration adds stability and helps maintain hole accuracy in tight-tolerance work. At 9/64 inches (0.1406 inches) in diameter, it is sized for small-bore drilling tasks performed by machinists, electronics technicians, and trade professionals working with circuit board assemblies or precision fixtures.
This drill bit is suited for use in cast iron, non-ferrous metals, plastics, and steel. Its uncoated solid carbide construction makes it a reliable choice for high-speed drilling on CNC drilling machines, drill presses, and hand-held rotary tools where consistent hole quality and dimensional accuracy are required. The right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional drill press and CNC spindle operation. It is sold individually and is appropriate for both production and maintenance applications where a small-diameter, heavy-duty carbide bit is needed.
Designed for use in cast iron, non-ferrous metals, plastics, and steel workpieces. Compatible with standard drill chucks and CNC collets accepting a 9/64-inch (0.1406-inch) shank diameter.
This bit is installed by machinists or electronics assembly technicians using a drill press, CNC drilling machine, or compatible rotary tool with a chuck or collet sized for a 9/64-inch shank. Always secure the workpiece firmly before drilling and ensure the spindle speed is appropriate for the workpiece material and bit diameter. Carbide tooling is brittle and should not be subjected to side loads or used in worn or loose chucks. Inspect the cutting edges before each use and replace if chipping or wear is observed.
