The M.A. FORD. 30013600 is a solid carbide circuit board drill bit designed for precision drilling in printed circuit board (PCB) fabrication and similar close-tolerance work. Built to wire gauge size 29, it measures 0.1360 inches (3.45 mm) in diameter with a matching 3.45 mm shank diameter. The 118-degree drill point and fast spiral flute geometry promote clean entry and efficient chip evacuation. With a flute length of 0.75 inches and an overall length of 1.5 inches, this compact bit is suited for the tight clearances found in circuit board drilling fixtures and CNC drilling machines. It is installed and operated by electronics assembly technicians, PCB fabricators, and precision machining professionals.
This bit is designed for drilling cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and plastics, making it useful across PCB production, light metalworking, and prototype fabrication environments. The fast spiral (35-degree helix angle) moves chips away from the cutting zone efficiently, which is especially important in stack drilling operations common to PCB shops. The tapered web configuration adds point stability during entry, reducing walkout on flat or lightly fixtured workpieces. This is a single-piece, right-hand cutting bit appropriate for use in CNC drilling equipment or high-speed manual drill presses.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use circuit board drill bit for CNC and manual drilling equipment accepting a 3.45 mm shank diameter in the Series 300 product line.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists or PCB fabrication technicians familiar with carbide tooling. Power down and fully de-energize drilling equipment before changing bits. Carbide is brittle — avoid side loading, dropping, or overtightening collets, as this can chip or fracture the cutting edges. Verify spindle speed and feed rate against the material being drilled before operation.
