The M.A. FORD 2XDSR3622A is a solid carbide jobber drill designed for high-performance drilling in demanding metalworking applications. It carries a 9.20 mm (0.3622 inch) diameter and a 142-degree point angle suited for fast, accurate penetration into hard materials. The ALtima (AlTiN) coating improves heat resistance and tool life under aggressive cutting conditions. With a 103.00 mm overall length and a standard straight cylindrical shank measuring 10 mm in diameter, this drill fits conventional chucks used in CNC machining centers and manual drill presses. Licensed machinists and toolroom professionals are the primary users.
This jobber drill is built for cutting steel, stainless steel, and high-temperature alloys, making it appropriate for aerospace, automotive, and heavy fabrication environments where tool longevity and dimensional accuracy are critical. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and 55.00 mm flute length support chip evacuation in deep-hole applications. A right-hand, regular spiral flute geometry keeps cutting forces predictable. The drill is manufactured under ISO 9001:2015 certified processes, reflecting consistent dimensional tolerances of +0.000 to -0.015 mm on drill diameter.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and other machine tool spindles accepting a straight cylindrical shank of 10 mm (0.3937 inch) diameter. Primary workpiece materials are steel, stainless steel, and high-temperature alloys per material codes H, M, and S.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified machinists or toolroom personnel familiar with carbide tooling. Secure the shank firmly in a properly sized collet or chuck to the machine manufacturer's specified clamping torque before initiating spindle rotation. Carbide drills are brittle - avoid side-loading, interrupted cuts without proper feed reduction, or re-chucking on a worn or undersized bore. Verify spindle runout is within acceptable limits prior to use to prevent premature tip fracture.
