The M.A. FORD 27850020B is a 5-flute, single-end square end mill designed for high-performance metal removal in demanding machining applications. Manufactured from micrograin solid carbide and coated with AlCrN (aluminum chromium nitride), this tool delivers excellent heat and wear resistance at elevated cutting speeds. The 1/2 inch cutting diameter pairs with a 1-1/4 inch length of cut and a 40-degree helix angle, balancing chip evacuation efficiency with edge stability. Variable index flute spacing reduces chatter and harmonic vibration during aggressive cuts. Center-cutting geometry allows plunge entry as well as conventional peripheral milling.

This end mill is suited for machining ferrous metals, hardened steels, stainless steels, and similar difficult-to-machine alloys in both CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. The right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction make it compatible with standard spindle rotation.
