The M.A. FORD. 27812521B is a solid carbide corner radius end mill head designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. This replacement-style head features five helical flutes with a right-hand cutting direction and right-hand flute orientation, delivering efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting performance. The corner radius end type reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge, extending tool life in demanding applications. At 1.5 inches in length with a 0.31-inch height and 0.31-inch width profile, this compact head is suited for tight-tolerance finish work. Variable index geometry helps minimize chatter during cut. Installed by machinists and CNC operators in production and job shop environments.
This end mill head is used in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines where corner radius profiles are required on workpiece features. The solid carbide construction handles hardened steels, stainless alloys, cast iron, and non-ferrous materials at elevated cutting speeds. The helical flute design supports both roughing and finishing passes depending on feed and speed parameters. This head is sold individually and is intended as a direct replacement head for compatible modular end mill systems.
Designed as a replacement end mill head for compatible modular milling tool systems. Verify arbor interface and head connection specifications against your existing toolholder before installation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe lockout state before changing end mill heads. Use the appropriate torque wrench and head-engagement tool as specified by the toolholder manufacturer — do not overtighten by hand. Inspect the mating interface on the toolholder for wear or contamination before seating the new head.
