The M.A. FORD. 27762512B is a solid carbide corner radius end mill head designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. This 4-flute tool features a right-hand cutting direction with a helical flute geometry, a variable helix angle ranging from 38 to 41 degrees, and a variable index design. These characteristics reduce chatter and improve surface finish in demanding cutting conditions. At 0.63 inches in diameter and 3.5 inches in length, this head is suited for finishing and semi-finishing passes where edge quality and dimensional accuracy are critical. Installed by machinists and tooling technicians, this replacement-style head is built for modular end mill systems.
This corner radius end mill head is used in CNC machining centers and manual milling setups across aerospace, die and mold, and general metalworking environments. The corner radius end type reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and extends tool life compared to sharp-corner alternatives. The right-hand flute direction and helical geometry promote efficient chip evacuation during both climb and conventional milling. This head is appropriate for ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials where a controlled corner geometry is required by the part specification.
Designed as a modular replacement end mill head compatible with corresponding M.A. FORD. modular tooling systems. Verify shank interface specifications against your existing toolholder before ordering.
This end mill head is installed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians familiar with modular cutting tool systems. Ensure the spindle and toolholder are fully de-energized and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing heads. Follow the toolholder manufacturer torque and seating procedures when securing the head to the arbor. Inspect the mating interface for chips, burrs, or contamination before assembly to ensure runout is within acceptable tolerances.
