The M.A. FORD. 27231350 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in metalworking and machining applications. Built to a 0.3135-inch diameter with a right-hand cutting direction and six straight flutes, it delivers tight, repeatable tolerances of +0.0001 to +0.0003 inches over nominal size. The straight shank allows it to seat directly in standard drill chucks or collet holders. With a 3.25-inch overall length and a 1.125-inch flute length, it is sized for short-to-medium depth through-hole and blind-hole reaming. Licensed machinists and tool-and-die professionals are the primary installers of this tool in production and maintenance environments.
This reamer suits applications where bore finish and dimensional accuracy are critical, including fitting dowel pin holes, bearing bores, and precision assembly clearances.
