The M.A. FORD. 27211600 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed to finish-ream precision holes to a wire size 32 diameter of 0.1160 inches. Built from solid carbide throughout, this reamer delivers tight dimensional control with a reamer diameter tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0003 inches, making it well-suited for close-tolerance work in production and toolroom environments. The straight flute geometry and right-hand cutting direction suit it for use in CNC machining centers, manual mills, and drill presses where a chuck-mounted, straight-shank tool is required. Machinists and toolroom technicians install this reamer for final-pass hole sizing on metal workpieces where surface finish and bore accuracy are critical.
This reamer is applied in metalworking operations requiring precise small-diameter hole finishing. The 0.1160-inch cutting diameter places it in the 0.1000 to 0.1499 inch diameter range, appropriate for small fastener clearance holes, dowel bores, and instrument component finishing. With an overall length of 2.25 inches and a flute length of 0.625 inches, the tool fits standard short-reach chucking applications. It is part of the M.A. FORD. Series 272 lineup and is packaged individually for single-unit procurement.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide chucking reamer for use in standard drill chuck or collet chuck setups on CNC machining centers, knee mills, and drill presses configured for straight-shank tooling in the 0.1000 to 0.1499 inch diameter range.
Installation is performed by machinists and toolroom technicians. Secure the straight shank firmly in a drill chuck or collet before operation and confirm runout is within acceptable limits prior to cutting. Power down the machine and lock out the spindle before changing or inspecting the reamer. Do not use this tool as a drill; pre-drill or pre-bore the hole to within a few thousandths of finished diameter before reaming.
