The M.A. FORD 27206150A is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in tight-tolerance machining applications. Built to Series 272 standards, it features a 0.0615-inch cutting diameter with a reamer diameter tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0003 inches, making it appropriate for close-fit bore work where dimensional accuracy is critical. The 4-flute, right-hand cutting geometry combined with a straight flute configuration promotes clean chip evacuation in short-hole reaming passes. An ALtima coating provides added surface hardness and wear resistance. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals install this reamer in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual lathes equipped with standard straight-cylindrical shank toolholders.
This reamer is suited for small-diameter precision reaming in production and job-shop environments working with ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With an overall length of 1.5 inches and a flute length of 3/8 inches, it is sized for shallow-hole applications where minimal runout and repeatable bore diameter are required. The straight-cylindrical shank seats directly in collet chucks or drill chucks without adapter hardware. This part is classified as a modified standard item and is non-returnable and non-cancelable once ordered.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide chucking reamer for use in straight-cylindrical shank toolholding systems on CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual lathes requiring 0.0615-inch finished bore diameter.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists following standard toolroom practices. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and machine is powered down before loading or removing the reamer from the toolholder. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank in a properly sized collet or drill chuck to minimize runout before operation. Do not use this reamer as a drill; pre-drill or bore the hole to the appropriate sub-size before reaming to finished diameter.
