The M.A. FORD 27202560 is a solid carbide chucking reamer designed for precision hole finishing in tight-tolerance applications. With a 0.65mm (0.0256 inch) reamer diameter and a diameter tolerance of +0.004 to +0.008 mm, this tool delivers consistent, accurate results in bore sizing operations. The straight, right-hand flute geometry and right-hand cutting direction make it suitable for use in CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual lathes. The bright, uncoated carbide construction provides rigidity and edge retention in a wide range of workpiece materials. At 38mm overall length with a 6.50mm flute length, this reamer is sized for small-diameter, shallow-bore finishing work performed by machinists and toolroom professionals.
This reamer is appropriate for precision finishing of small bores in metalworking, toolroom, and production machining environments. The straight-cylindrical shank allows direct chucking in standard drill chucks, collet chucks, and reamer holders without special adapters. Typical applications include finishing pre-drilled or bored holes to close tolerances in aerospace, medical device, mold and die, and general precision machining settings. It is intended for use by trained machinists and toolroom technicians working to tight dimensional specifications.
Designed as an OEM-style precision chucking reamer for use in standard drill chucks, collet holders, and reamer holders accepting a straight-cylindrical shank in the micro-diameter range.
Installation and use of this reamer should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before mounting or removing the tool from the chuck or collet holder. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank firmly in a properly sized collet or drill chuck to minimize runout, which is critical at this diameter. Use appropriate cutting fluid or coolant as recommended for the workpiece material to extend tool life and maintain bore quality.
