The M.A. FORD. 22943750 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in non-ferrous metals and similar materials. Measuring 7/16 inch (0.4375 inch) in diameter with a 4-1/2 inch overall length, this bit features a 150-degree drill point angle and a parabolic flute geometry that promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduced cutting heat. The bright, uncoated finish is suited to applications where coating interaction with workpiece material is a concern. Three flutes and a web-thinned, tapered web configuration allow for faster penetration and improved hole quality in production and precision machining environments. Licensed machinists and tooling professionals are the primary users of this bit.
The 22943750 is built for drilling non-ferrous metals, including aluminum, copper, brass, and similar materials designated under primary workpiece material code N and O. Its parabolic flute design with a 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports deeper cutting passes relative to diameter, making it appropriate for both manual and CNC drilling setups. The straight-cylindrical shank (7/16 inch diameter) seats securely in standard drill chucks and collets. Maximum drilling depth is 2-5/32 inches. This bit conforms to DIN 6537 L standards and is produced under ISO 9001:2015 certified manufacturing conditions.

Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians familiar with carbide tooling requirements. Solid carbide bits are brittle compared to high-speed steel and must be handled carefully to avoid chipping — do not drop or impact the cutting edges. Ensure the machine spindle and chuck are fully secured and running true before engaging the workpiece. Coolant-through is not supported on this bit, so appropriate surface or flood cooling methods should be applied externally when cutting conditions generate significant heat.
