The M.A. FORD 22910150 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit sized at No. 38 wire gauge, which corresponds to 0.1015 inches in decimal. It features a 150-degree standard point angle and a three-flute parabolic geometry designed for fast chip evacuation and reduced thrust. The overall length is 2.25 inches with a flute length of 1.25 inches and a maximum drilling depth of 0.9375 inches. The shank is straight-cylindrical at 0.1015 inches in diameter. The bit carries a bright, uncoated finish and a web-thinned, tapered web configuration for easier entry. It is manufactured to DIN 6537 L standards and produced under ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management.
This drill bit is intended for use on non-ferrous metal workpieces, making it well-suited for aluminum, brass, copper, and similar materials. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio and parabolic flute form support high-performance drilling in production and maintenance environments. Right-hand cutting direction is standard. Typical users include machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and precision fabricators working with hand-held pneumatic drills, drill presses, and CNC machining centers. The Series 229 designation places this bit within M.A. FORD's high-performance carbide drilling line. Coolant-through capability is not available on this model.

This bit is installed by machinists or tooling technicians. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank firmly in a collet or drill chuck rated for the shank diameter before operation. Do not use this bit on ferrous metals, as the geometry and material are optimized for non-ferrous applications.
