The M.A. FORD. 22412600 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for precision hole-making in metalworking and fabrication applications. The bit measures 0.1260 inches (3.20 mm) in diameter with an overall length of 2.5591 inches (65.00 mm) and a flute length of 1.4173 inches (36.00 mm). It features a 118-degree facet point with web thinning for improved centering and reduced thrust at entry. The bright, uncoated carbide construction delivers consistent performance across a range of workpiece materials. This bit is sold individually and is suited for use by machinists, tool-and-die tradespeople, and precision fabrication professionals.
The 22412600 is intended for drilling steel, aluminum, and other non-ferrous materials in general-purpose machining environments. Its regular spiral, right-hand cutting geometry and straight cylindrical shank make it compatible with standard drill chucks and CNC toolholders. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports chip evacuation in short to medium depth holes. This bit performs in both manual and machine tool setups where tight diameter tolerances are required. It conforms to DIN 338 specification, making it a standard-format jobber drill for shop floor use.
Designed for use in steel, aluminum, and non-ferrous workpiece materials (material codes K, M, N, P). Straight cylindrical shank fits standard drill chucks and collet holders accepting a 0.1260-inch shank diameter.
Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling professionals familiar with cutting tool safety practices. Secure the shank fully in the drill chuck or collet before operation and verify runout is within acceptable limits. Ensure the machine spindle is at a complete stop before changing or inspecting the bit. Use appropriate cutting fluid or coolant as required by the workpiece material to extend tool life and maintain hole quality.
