Sized at 0.4062 inches (13/32 inch) in diameter, it features a 118-degree faceted point angle with web thinning for reduced thrust and cleaner entry. The two-flute spiral design in a straight-cylindrical shank configuration delivers consistent chip evacuation in short-reach drilling applications. Machinists and tool-room technicians working with production equipment, CNC machining centers, or drill presses rely on this bit where rigidity and dimensional accuracy are priorities.
This drill bit is suited for short-reach drilling operations in cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, and steel. Solid carbide is brittle — avoid side-loading, interrupted cuts beyond the tool design intent, or re-chucking on a worn shank seat, as these can cause tool fracture. Always verify spindle runout is within tolerance before production use.
