The M.A. FORD. 20610940 is a solid carbide screw machine length drill bit designed for high-precision short-hole drilling in demanding production and job-shop environments. At 0.1094 inches (7/64 inch) in diameter with a 118-degree faceted point angle, it delivers clean entry geometry suited to a range of metalworking applications. The bright/uncoated finish maintains dimensional accuracy right out of the box. With a 2-flute spiral configuration and web-thinned parallel web, this bit reduces thrust and improves chip evacuation. This drill bit is built for cutting cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, and steel. Installation and use of this drill bit should be performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians familiar with proper speeds, feeds, and clamping practices for carbide tooling. Power down and de-energize the machine spindle completely before changing tooling. Secure the shank fully in the chuck or collet to the manufacturer-recommended engagement depth to prevent pullout and bit breakage. Carbide tooling is brittle — avoid side loading, interrupted cuts beyond the tool rating, or dropping the bit on hard surfaces.
