The M.A. FORD 20426100 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit sized to Letter G (0.2610 inches) with a 118-degree, 4-facet point geometry. It features a regular spiral flute, right-hand cutting direction, and a straight cylindrical shank. Overall length is 3.5 inches with a flute length of 2.125 inches. The bright, uncoated finish is standard for solid carbide tooling used in applications where coating is not required. This drill is manufactured under ISO 9001:2015 certification and is intended for use by machinists, maintenance technicians, and metalworking professionals on manual or CNC drilling equipment.
This drill is rated as a general-purpose tool with a 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio, making it well suited for drilling steel, aluminum, and other non-ferrous metals in production and job-shop environments. It is part of M.A. FORD Series 204, which covers solid carbide jobber drills in the 0.2500 to 0.3000 inch diameter range. Typical applications include through-hole and blind-hole drilling in ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces where dimensional accuracy and tool life are priorities over cost-per-hole.
Designed as a general-purpose solid carbide jobber drill for use in steel, aluminum, and non-ferrous materials. Compatible with any drilling machine or CNC machining center accepting a 0.2610-inch straight cylindrical shank. Part of the M.A. FORD Series 204 product line covering the 0.2500 to 0.3000 inch diameter range.
Install and remove this drill bit only with the machine fully powered down and the spindle at a complete stop. Use an appropriate drill chuck or collet rated for the 0.2610-inch straight shank diameter and ensure secure clamping before operation. Solid carbide tooling is brittle compared to high-speed steel; avoid side-loading, interrupted cuts without proper feed rates, and dropping or impacting the cutting edges. Follow the machine manufacturer and workpiece material guidelines for spindle speed and feed rate selection.
