The M.A. FORD. 20071880 is a solid carbide, straight-flute die drill bit designed for precision holemaking in demanding industrial and toolroom applications. With a 23/32-inch (0.7188-inch) cutting diameter and a 135-degree split point, this bit enters material quickly and accurately with minimal walking. The web-thinned geometry reduces thrust and improves chip evacuation. At 4 inches overall length with a 1.5-inch flute and 2.5-inch shank, the 20071880 is built for controlled, repeatable drilling in die and mold work as well as production environments. It ships uncoated and is manufactured to DIN standards. Machinists, tool and die makers, and precision fabricators are the primary users.
This drill bit is suited for holemaking in cast iron, steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, austenitic stainless steel, titanium, high-temperature alloys, hardened materials, glass, and ceramics. The 135-degree split point and right-hand cutting direction make it well-matched for CNC machining centers, drill presses, and manual toolroom setups where tight diameter tolerances are required. It falls within the M.A. FORD. Series 200 product line and is intended for applications where standard high-speed steel tooling is insufficient.

This bit should be installed by qualified machinists or tool and die professionals familiar with carbide tooling. Ensure the shank is fully seated and secure in the chuck or collet before operation, as carbide is brittle and sensitive to side-loading or improper clamping. Power down and de-energize the machine before changing tooling. Do not exceed the manufacturer-recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material, and avoid interrupted cuts without confirming the setup is rigid enough to prevent chipping.
