The M.A. FORD. 20043310 is a solid carbide die drill bit engineered for precision holemaking in demanding industrial applications. Built to DIN standards, this straight-flute drill features a 135-degree split point and web-thinned geometry that reduces entry thrust and improves centering accuracy. At 0.4331 inches (11.00 mm) in diameter, it is offered uncoated for compatibility with a broad range of workpiece materials. The two-flute, right-hand cutting configuration is well suited to machinists and toolroom technicians working on dies, molds, and close-tolerance bores in production environments.
This drill is intended for holemaking in cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, alloy steel, hardened materials, high-temperature alloys, titanium, and austenitic stainless steel. Its solid carbide construction and web-thinned split point make it particularly effective when drilling abrasive or work-hardening materials where high-speed steel tooling loses edge life prematurely. Typical install scenarios include die and mold shops, precision machining centers, and aerospace component fabrication where tight diameter tolerances are required.
Rated for primary workpiece materials including cast iron, non-ferrous metal, stainless steel, and steel (material codes H, K, M, N, P, S); secondary materials include alloy steel, austenitic stainless steel, ceramic, glass, hardened materials, high-temperature alloy, stainless steel, and titanium. Manufactured to DIN standards as part of M.A. FORD. Series 200.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Secure the shank fully in a collet or drill chuck rated for the 11.00 mm shank diameter before initiating a cut. Verify spindle speed and feed rate against published carbide tooling parameters for the specific workpiece material before running. Carbide tooling is brittle — avoid interrupted cuts, side loads, or re-chucking with worn or damaged holders, as these conditions can cause tool breakage.
