The M.A. FORD. 20039370 is a solid carbide, straight-flute die drill bit designed for precision holemaking in demanding materials. It measures 0.3937 inches (10.00 mm) in diameter with a 135-degree split point and web-thinned geometry that reduces thrust and improves centering at entry. The uncoated carbide construction delivers rigidity and edge retention when drilling cast iron, stainless steel, steel, and non-ferrous metals. With an overall length of 2.756 inches (70.00 mm) and a flute length of 1.004 inches (25.50 mm), this bit is sized for die work and tight-tolerance applications. It is a right-hand cutting tool conforming to DIN standards.
This drill bit is suited for machine shop, toolroom, and die-making environments where hole quality and dimensional accuracy are critical. It performs in ferrous and non-ferrous applications including alloy steel, austenitic stainless steel, high-temperature alloys, titanium, hardened materials, ceramic, and glass. The two-flute straight configuration is well suited to short-hole, high-precision operations on CNC machining centers, knee mills, and drill presses. The 10.00 mm shank diameter and 44.50 mm shank length provide a secure, consistent grip in standard tool holders and collets.

Fits standard 10.00 mm collets and tool holders.
Installation and use should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom professional. Secure the shank fully in a compatible collet or chuck before operation and verify runout is within acceptable limits for the application. Always power down and lock out the machine spindle before changing tooling. Do not exceed the recommended speed and feed parameters for the workpiece material as established by the manufacturer or standard machining references.
