The M.A. FORD 20010930 is a solid carbide, straight-flute die drill bit designed for precision holemaking in hard and demanding workpiece materials. At 7/64 inch (0.1094 inch) diameter, it features a 135-degree split point with web thinning to reduce thrust and improve centering on entry. The uncoated carbide construction delivers rigidity and edge retention in applications where high-speed steel tooling falls short. With an overall length of 1.5 inches and a flute length of 0.625 inches, this bit is sized for close-quarter and die-work drilling applications. It is a right-hand cutting tool built to DIN standards and suited for use in machining centers, drill presses, and hand-held pneumatic tools used by toolmakers and machinists.
This drill bit is rated for use in cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, alloy steel, austenitic stainless steel, hardened materials, high-temperature alloys, titanium, ceramic, and glass. It is well suited for die and mold work, precision toolroom applications, and production drilling where tight hole tolerances and repeatable performance are required. The 7/64 inch shank diameter and 7/8 inch shank length are compatible with standard collets and drill chucks used in toolroom and production environments.

Install in a properly sized collet or drill chuck rated for the 0.1094 inch shank diameter and confirm secure clamping before operation. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is locked out before changing bits. Use appropriate speeds and feeds for carbide tooling in the target workpiece material to avoid chipping the cutting edge. Solid carbide bits are brittle under lateral load - avoid side pressure or angled entry.
