The M.A. FORD 20006700 is a solid carbide die drill bit engineered for precision holemaking in demanding industrial and toolroom applications. Built to Series 200 specifications, this straight-flute bit measures 0.0670 inches in diameter (Wire Size 51) and runs a 135-degree split point for fast, accurate starts with minimal walking. The uncoated solid carbide construction delivers the hardness and edge retention needed when drilling cast iron, stainless steel, alloy steel, high-temperature alloys, and titanium. Machinists, tool-and-die makers, and CNC setup techs use this bit where a standard high-speed steel drill would fail or deflect on hard or abrasive materials.
This die drill is sized for tight-tolerance holemaking in dies, molds, fixtures, and precision components. At 0.0670 inches diameter with a right-hand cutting direction and web-thinned point, it excels in small-hole applications where hole position and finish quality are critical. Installation and use of this bit is performed by machinists, tool-and-die makers, and CNC technicians. Secure the shank fully in a collet or precision drill chuck before operation and verify spindle runout is within acceptable tolerance, as small-diameter carbide is brittle and sensitive to side load. Power down and lock out the machine before changing bits. Do not use this bit in a standard keyed chuck that cannot hold close concentricity, as deflection will cause breakage at this diameter.
