The M.A. FORD. 18062502B is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for finishing operations in demanding materials including steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium. It features a 5/8 inch cutting diameter, a 0.015 inch corner radius, and seven flutes arranged in a right-hand spiral with a medium helix angle. The ALtima Blaze PVD coating provides thermal resistance and wear protection suited for high-performance cutting environments. With a super close pitch and straight cylindrical shank, this tool is designed for rigid setups in CNC machining centers using standard toolholders. Licensed machinists and tooling specialists are the primary users.

This end mill is intended for finishing cuts on ferrous and exotic alloys, including carbon steel, stainless steel, and titanium-based superalloys. Its stub-length configuration - 3/4 inch length of cut and 3-1/2 inch overall length - makes it suited for applications where rigidity and minimal deflection are priorities. Installation Notes

Install in a clean, correctly sized collet or toolholder bore and torque to the toolholder manufacturer's specification before beginning a cut. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before entering the workpiece, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear on close-pitch multi-flute tools. This tool is not center-cutting - do not plunge directly into solid material. Power down the spindle fully before tool changes and inspect the shank for fretting or wear before each use.
