The M.A. FORD. 17715600A is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision metal removal in demanding machining applications. It features a 5/32 inch (0.1562 inch) mill diameter, a 3/16 inch length of cut, and a 2 inch overall length with a straight-cylindrical 3/16 inch shank. The four-flute, helical design incorporates a variable helix angle of 35/38 degrees and variable index geometry, which reduces harmonic vibration and chatter during cut. An ALtima finish coating improves wear resistance and tool life. This end mill is centercutting, allowing plunge entry, and runs right-hand cut with right-hand flute orientation. It is sold individually.

This end mill is suited for milling operations on a range of workpiece materials including hardened steels, cast irons, stainless and exotic alloys, and titanium-group materials, corresponding to material codes H, K, M, P, and S. It is a regular-length tool appropriate for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in CNC machining centers and manual mills where a small-diameter, high-performance carbide end mill is required.
