The M.A. FORD 16909370 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. With a cutting diameter of 0.0938 inches (3/32 inch) and a 3-flute spiral configuration at a 30-degree helix angle, this tool delivers clean, accurate cuts in a compact stub-length format. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 0.125 inches in diameter and the overall length is 1.5 inches, making it well suited for tight-clearance work. The micrograin carbide construction provides the hardness and edge retention needed for demanding cuts. It is center-cutting capable and runs in a right-hand cut, right-hand flute direction. The bright, uncoated finish is the as-ground factory standard.
This end mill is designed for use in CNC machining centers, manual mills, and precision toolroom applications. The 0.0938-inch diameter and stub length make it a practical choice for small-feature milling, slot cutting, and profiling in materials spanning cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless, high-temp alloys, and steel - corresponding to workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. The length of cut is 0.1875 inches, with a rated length-of-cut range of 0.1000 to 0.2000 inches. It is a single-end tool and does not feature variable helix, variable index, chipbreaker geometry, or extended reach.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill in M.A. FORD Series 169. Fits standard collets and end mill holders accepting a 0.125-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Suitable for milling workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician. Before changing tooling, power down the spindle completely and confirm the machine is in a safe, locked-out state per applicable shop safety procedures. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder and torque the retaining nut according to the tool holder manufacturer's specifications. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use, and confirm runout is within acceptable limits before beginning a cut.
